Responsible Vaping

Responsible vaping means using nicotine products the way they are intended: by adults aged 18 and over, with a clear understanding of the risks, and fully within UAE law. Disposable AE is a UAE-based retailer that sells only ECAS-certified vaping products to age-verified adult customers. This page explains how to vape responsibly, what UAE regulations require, and the steps Disposable AE takes to keep these products out of the wrong hands.

Nicotine is an addictive substance. Vaping products are intended only for adult smokers aged 18 and over who already use nicotine. They are not suitable for non-smokers, minors, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with a heart condition. The information on this page is general safety guidance, not medical or legal advice.

Vaping is strictly for adults aged 18 and over

In the UAE, the legal age to buy and use nicotine products is 18. Disposable AE does not knowingly sell to anyone under this age. Every order is subject to age verification, and our delivery team may request valid Emirates ID or a passport before handing over a package.

If you are not already an adult nicotine user, the responsible choice is not to start. Never buy or supply a vaping product on behalf of a minor. You can read the full details of our checks on our Age Verification policy.

Understanding nicotine and choosing your strength

Nicotine is habit-forming, and higher strengths deliver it faster. In the UAE, e-liquid nicotine is capped at 20 mg/ml (2%) for compliant products, so choosing a sensible strength matters. As a general guide, lighter or occasional smokers usually suit lower strengths, while heavier smokers switching from cigarettes often prefer something stronger at first.

The goal of responsible use is to take in no more nicotine than you actually need. If you find yourself vaping far more than you used to smoke, consider stepping down to a lower strength. When you are unsure, our team is happy to help you choose — reach out through our contact page before you buy.

Vaping and the law in the UAE

Vaping has been legal in the UAE since April 2019. Since July 2020, product certification has been overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) through the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS). Every device and e-liquid sold legally must meet the mandatory standard UAE.S 5030:2018 and carry a valid ECAS conformity mark.

That standard sets the 20 mg/ml nicotine ceiling, requires safety and battery testing, and mandates bilingual Arabic/English labelling with health warnings. Products containing THC, CBD or other cannabis derivatives are illegal in the UAE and are never sold by Disposable AE.

Disposable AE stocks only products sourced through certified, compliant supply chains. When you receive your order, you can confirm compliance yourself by checking for the ECAS/MoIAT mark on the packaging. For official guidance, see the UAE Government portal at u.ae.

Where you can — and can't — vape

Under Federal Law No. 15 of 2009 on Tobacco Control, vaping is treated much like cigarette smoking. It is not permitted in most indoor public spaces, including malls, restaurants, offices and public transport, and many government buildings.

Dubai Municipality restricts vaping in many parks and on public beaches. Vaping in a vehicle while a child is present is an offence under the UAE's child-protection laws. Fines for vaping in a prohibited public place typically range from AED 500 to AED 2,000 per offence.

Always use designated smoking areas, and be considerate of the people around you. When travelling between emirates, remember that local enforcement can vary.

Safe use, charging and storage

Most modern vapes contain a lithium battery, which needs a little care. Charge rechargeable devices with an appropriate charger, do not leave a device charging unattended or overnight, and unplug it once it is full. Stop using any device that becomes hot, swollen, damaged or starts to leak.

Keep all vaping products, including e-liquid, well out of reach of children and pets. The UAE climate matters too: do not leave a device in a parked car or in direct sunlight, as extreme heat can degrade the battery and cause the e-liquid to leak. Store devices upright in a cool, dry place.

How to dispose of a vape responsibly

A used disposable vape is electronic waste, not ordinary household rubbish, because it contains a lithium battery and electronic components. Never puncture, crush, incinerate or submerge a device — a damaged lithium battery can catch fire.

Where possible, drop spent devices and batteries at a designated e-waste or battery collection point rather than the general bin. This keeps hazardous materials out of landfill and reduces fire risk during waste handling.

Health considerations you should know

Vaping is not risk-free. Nicotine-containing products are intended as an alternative for adults who already smoke or use nicotine — not for non-smokers, and never for young people. If you do not currently use nicotine, there is no health reason to begin.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or living with a heart or lung condition, speak to a doctor before using any nicotine product. If your goal is to quit nicotine altogether, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional. For an international public-health perspective on tobacco and e-cigarettes, see the World Health Organization.

How Disposable AE sells responsibly

Responsibility is built into how Disposable AE operates, not added as an afterthought:

  • Authentic, certified stock only. We source from authorized distributors and avoid counterfeit or grey-market goods, so every product can carry a valid ECAS mark.
  • Adults only. We apply age verification at checkout and on delivery, and we will not complete a sale to anyone who cannot confirm they are 18 or over.
  • Honest information. We publish real specifications, nicotine strengths and prices so you can make an informed choice.
  • Expert guidance. Not sure which strength or device suits you? Our team offers personalized help before you buy.
