A puff rating is a laboratory figure: the number of draws a device produced under a fixed machine test, at a set draw length and power. Real-world use almost always comes in lower, because human draws are longer and less consistent than machine draws, and because some devices offer a higher-power mode that empties the liquid faster.

Treat three numbers as separate things: the number in the model name, the rated maximum the manufacturer publishes, and the real-world range you should expect.
