Which coil fits my vape: match the exact device model, then pair resistance above 0.8 ohm with nicotine salt or below 0.6 ohm with freebase

Which Coil Fits My Vape? UAE Compatibility Guide

Which coil fits my vape? Only one that names your exact device model and generation. Coils and pods are not universal, not interchangeable between brands, and within a single brand frequently not interchangeable between models that look nearly identical.

That sounds restrictive, and it is. But there are patterns, and once you know them you will not order the wrong part again. This guide maps the coil and pod families we actually stock.

Which coil fits my vape: match the exact device model, then pair resistance above 0.8 ohm with nicotine salt or below 0.6 ohm with freebase
Match the device first, then match the resistance to your e-liquid. Both have to be right.

In a hurry? Use our coil and pod finder — type your device name and it shows every matching part we stock with live AED prices.

The golden rule

If a listing does not name your exact device, it will not fit.

Not SMOK coils. Not Nord coils. Nord 4 coils, or RPM 2 coils, or Caliburn G3. Manufacturers change pod geometry with almost every generation, and the differences are often a millimetre of width or a slightly different magnet position — invisible in a photo, decisive in your hand.

The second rule follows: a coil and a pod are not the same thing. Some devices take a pod with a replaceable coil inside, which is cheaper to run because you swap a small coil rather than the whole cartridge. Others take a sealed pod where the coil is built in and the whole unit is replaced. Ordering the wrong one of these is the most common mistake we see.

How to identify what you need

  1. Read the device itself. The model name is usually printed on the body or the base — not just the brand.
  2. Note the generation. Caliburn A2 and A3 are different devices. Nord 4 and Nord 5 are different devices.
  3. Check what comes out. If the whole cartridge lifts off, you need a pod. If a small coil unscrews or pulls out of the cartridge, you need a coil.
  4. Read the old part. Spent coils have the resistance and series code printed on them, for example PnP VM1 0.3ohm or RPM Mesh 0.4ohm. That code is what you order.

SMOK: Nord vs RPM vs Novo

SMOK is where most compatibility mistakes happen, because it runs three parallel pod families whose names have blurred over the years.

FamilyDevices we stock parts forTakes
NordNord, Nord 2, Nord 4, Nord 5, Nord C, Nord 50WNord pods; Nord and LP2 coils depending on model
RPMRPM 25W, RPM 40, RPM 4, RPM 85, RPM 100, RPM CRPM pods; RPM, RPM 2, RPM 3, RPM 4 and LP2 coils
NovoNovo, Novo 2, Novo 2X, Novo 4, Novo 4 Mini, Novo 5, Novo XSealed Novo pods, generation-specific
OtherNfix, Nfix Pro, AcroTheir own dedicated pods

Nord and RPM coils are not interchangeable, despite looking similar and often sitting next to each other on a shelf. Nor are RPM 2, RPM 3 and RPM 4 coils interchangeable with each other — the number is part of the coil name, not just the device name.

One useful exception: some later devices are deliberately cross-compatible. The Nord 50W accepts RPM, Nord and LP2 pods, which is unusual for SMOK and worth knowing if you own one.

Novo is the simplest family to buy for, because the pods are sealed with the coil built in — but they are strictly generation-locked. A Novo 4 pod will not fit a Novo 5.

Uwell Caliburn generations

Caliburn is the most popular MTL pod line in the UAE and has the most generations to keep straight.

GenerationPod typeNote
Caliburn A2 / A2SSealed pod, 0.9ohm and 1.2ohmWill not fit A3
Caliburn A3 / A3SSealed pod, own cartridgeSeparate from A2
Caliburn G / G2Pod plus replaceable coilCheaper to run — swap the coil

Caliburn G3 / G4 / G4 MiniGPP 3ml cartridgeDifferent from the 2.5ml above — check which your device takes
Caliburn X3ml podDedicated
Caliburn Explorer, IronFist LOwn cartridgesDedicated

The G3 sub-family is the good news here: one cartridge covers G3, G3 Pro, G3 Eco, G3 Lite and GK3. The trap is that the GPP cartridge for G3/G4/G4 Mini is a different part. If you own a G3, check the capacity printed on your existing pod — 2.5ml or 3ml — before ordering.

Uwell also runs separate lines with their own parts: Crown D, Kalmia, Popreel P1, Tripod and Aeglos P1. None share pods with Caliburn.

Voopoo PnP: the cross-compatible one

If cross-compatibility matters to you, Voopoo is the brand that does it best. The PnP coil platform spans a large part of the range, so one coil type serves several devices and upgrading rarely orphans your spares.

PlatformCoilsDevices
PnPR2, TR1, VM1, VM3, VM4, VM5, VM6Vinci, Vinci 2, Vinci 3, Drag X, Drag S, Argus range
PnP XPnP X pod coilsDevices using PnP X pods
TPPDM1 to DM4TPP pod tanks, higher-power devices
ITOITO mesh coilsITO and ITO X pods

The practical upshot: if you own a Vinci and upgrade to an Argus or a Drag S, your PnP coils very likely carry over. That is genuinely unusual and it is a real reason to stay within the brand.

Pods are still device-specific though. Argus pods, Vmate pods, Vinci pods and Drag Nano 2 pods are separate parts even where the coils inside are shared.

Geekvape series coils

Geekvape organises coils by lettered series rather than by device name, which is clearer once you know the code.

  • B series — Aegis Boost family, the most widely used
  • P series — Aegis Pod devices
  • Z series — Zeus sub-ohm tanks
  • M series — mesh coils for compatible tanks
  • J series — used across several pod devices
  • G series — pod formula coils

The Wenax line uses dedicated pods rather than series coils: Wenax Stylus, Wenax K1, Wenax M1 and Wenax H1 each take their own cartridge. Aegis One, Aegis Hero 2 (H45), the U pod and the Q pod are likewise device-specific.

Check the letter and number on your old coil — for example B Series 0.4ohm — and match it exactly.

Vaporesso XROS, GTX and Luxe

Vaporesso splits cleanly into pod cartridges and coil platforms.

LineWhat you order
XROS seriesXROS pod cartridges, 2ml and 3ml — covers the XROS family
Luxe X / XR / XR MaxLuxe X pods, or Luxe XR RDL and MTL cartridges
Luxe Q / QS / Q2Luxe Q pod cartridges — separate from Luxe X
GTXGTX mesh coils for GTX tanks and pod mods
GTiGTi coils for iTank
MTXMTX coils for MTL setups
Eco Nano / Eco One / Osmall / Renova Zero / Vibe / Armour GEach takes its own dedicated cartridge

The XROS cartridge is the one most people need, and it is refreshingly consistent across the XROS family. Luxe is where care is required, because Luxe X, Luxe XR and Luxe Q are three different pod systems sharing a family name.

OXVA Xlim family

OXVA keeps the Xlim name across several cartridge types, so read the suffix.

  • Xlim Series refillable cartridge — the standard part
  • Xlim C — own cartridge and own replaceable coils
  • Xlim SS — top-fill 2ml
  • Xlim XL — top-fill, larger capacity
  • Xlim EZ — own cartridge

OXVA also runs VPrime, Oneo and NEXLIM as separate lines with dedicated pods.

Other brands we carry parts for

  • Lost Vape — UB Pro, UB Lite, UB V2 and Ultra Boost Mini coils; Ursa pods
  • Freemax — MS mesh for Marvos T, MX coils, Onnix OX DVC, 904L M, Rexa pods
  • Aspire — Pixo and Nexi Pro pods, AF coils
  • Justfog — ARO and Myfit pods
  • Veiik — Airo and Airo Pro pods and coils
  • Vabar — Koin pods and coils

Reading the ohm number

Once you have found parts that physically fit, the resistance decides how the device behaves — and which e-liquid belongs in it. This is not a preference; using the wrong pairing is genuinely unpleasant.

ResistanceDrawE-liquidCoil life
Above 0.8 ohmTight, cigarette-like (MTL)Nicotine salt 20–50mgLongest, 2–3 weeks
0.6 to 0.8 ohmRestricted direct-lungSalt or low freebase1–2 weeks
Below 0.6 ohmOpen, big clouds (DTL)Freebase 3–6mg onlyShortest, 5 days–2 weeks

Putting high-strength nicotine salt in a sub-ohm coil delivers far more nicotine than intended — expect dizziness and nausea. Putting 3mg freebase in a tight MTL pod leaves you unsatisfied and reaching for cigarettes. Full detail in nic salt vs freebase.

Mesh or standard wire?

Mesh coils use a flat perforated strip instead of wound wire. The larger surface area heats liquid more evenly, which means fewer hot spots, better flavour and generally longer life. Most current pod systems use mesh, and where both are offered for your device, mesh is usually the better buy.

Coil materials — kanthal, stainless steel, nichrome — behave similarly in normal use. Resistance matters far more than alloy.

Make the new one last

Whatever you order, prime it. Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton, fill the pod, then let it stand ten minutes before the first draw. A dry first puff ruins a new coil immediately, and it is the single most expensive habit in vaping.

After that: stay inside the printed wattage range, refill before the tank runs low, and pace your draws. See how long a coil should last and why a vape tastes burnt.

Frequently asked questions

Which coil fits my vape?

Only one that names your exact device model and generation. Check the model printed on the device, then read the series code and resistance on your old coil — for example PnP VM1 0.3ohm — and match that exactly.

Are SMOK Nord and RPM coils the same?

No. They are separate families and do not fit each other, despite looking similar. RPM 2, RPM 3 and RPM 4 coils are also different from each other.

Will a Caliburn G pod fit a Caliburn A2?

No. The G and A lines use different cartridges. Within the G line, G3, G3 Pro, G3 Eco, G3 Lite and GK3 do share a 2.5ml cartridge, but the GPP 3ml cartridge for G3/G4/G4 Mini is a different part.

Are Voopoo PnP coils interchangeable?

Largely yes, and that is the main reason to buy Voopoo. PnP coils span the Vinci, Drag and Argus ranges. Pods are still device-specific.

Can I use another brand of coil in my device?

No. Coils are not cross-compatible between manufacturers. Threading, diameter and contact position all differ.

Should I buy a coil or a whole pod?

Depends on your device. If a small coil pulls or unscrews out of the cartridge, buy coils — cheaper per change. If the cartridge is sealed, buy pods.

What does the ohm number mean?

Electrical resistance. Above 0.8 ohm gives a tight cigarette-like draw and takes nicotine salt. Below 0.6 ohm gives big clouds and needs low-strength freebase.

Is mesh better than a standard coil?

Generally yes. More even heating means better flavour and longer life. Where both exist for your device, mesh is usually the better buy.
