The Uwell range explained

Caliburn G series — the mainstream line

G3, G3 Pro, G3 Lite, G4, G4 Mini, G4 Pro and the newer G5 and G5 Lite run from 25W to 35W with 1600mAh to 2000mAh batteries. The G3 family and GK3 share a 2.5ml cartridge; the G4 family moves to the 3ml GPP pod, which also fits the G3. This is the range to buy into if you want the widest spare-pod availability.

Caliburn A series — the simple line

A2, A2S, A3, A3S and AK3 are draw-activated or single-button devices with no settings at all. Around AED 100 to AED 120, they are the closest Uwell gets to a disposable that refills. A2 and A2S share pods; A3 and A3S do not.

Koko — the box-shaped line

Koko, Koko Prime, Koko Prime Vision, G3 Lite Koko, G4 Pro Koko and G5 Lite Koko are the square-format Caliburns. Same internals as the equivalent stick device, different shape and a different pod fitting in some generations.

Explorer, IronFist L, Popreel and Crown D

Explorer is a 32W device with a 4ml cartridge for people who refill less often. IronFist L is the larger, higher-power option. Popreel P1 and PK1 are compact 13W devices. Crown D is a 1100mAh pod mod with a 3ml pod, and the closest Uwell comes to a sub-ohm device.

Uwell pods: what actually fits what

Caliburn cartridges are the single biggest source of confusion in this brand. The groupings that matter:

• G / G2 pods — 2ml, with separate replaceable coils.
• G3 / G3 Pro / G3 Eco / G3 Lite / GK3 pods — 2.5ml, coil built into the pod.
• GPP pods — 3ml, fit G3, G4 and G4 Mini. The most useful cartridge in the range.
• A2 / A2S pods — 0.9ohm and 1.2ohm, not compatible with A3.
• A3 and A3S pods — 2ml, model-specific.
• X, Koko, Kalmia and Crown D — each on its own cartridge.

How to check your Uwell is genuine

Uwell prints a security code on the packaging of its devices and pods, and runs a verification page on its own site.

1. Find the security label on the box, usually a silver panel on the side or base.
2. Scratch the coating off carefully to reveal the code.
3. Open the official Uwell verification page.
4. Enter the code and submit.
5. A genuine result confirms the product is authentic and shows how many times the code has been checked.
6. A first-time query on a newly unsealed box is what you want to see.
7. If the code is unrecognised or has been queried many times, contact us with your order number and we will replace the unit.

Counterfeit Caliburn pods are more common in this market than counterfeit Caliburn devices, because pods are a repeat purchase and the packaging is simpler to copy. Fake pods usually leak within a day and taste burnt from the first fill. Check the code on pod packs, not just on devices.
